Director: Yale University Press
The Horn Foundation was honored to Partner with Yale University Press. Their expansive range of published books never ceases to amaze from the general reader, specialist to the art enthusiast. At our first meeting we were astonished by the attention paid to the slightest details: papers, bindings, covers, artwork no matter what the price of the book they were beautiful. The Presses accolades and honorariums are well deserved. We are proud to have the winning plays published by them.
To add to this they have supported the arts at every opportunity. The Yale Series of Younger Poets is an example of how influential they have been. It has been in existence for close to 100 years and has started the careers of such luminaries as James Agee, John Ashbery, Carolyn Forché, Robert Haas, John Hollander, M. S. Merwin, Ted Olson, Muriel Rukeyser, Adrienne Cecile Rich, James Tate, and Margaret Walker. The Horn Foundation hopes never to disappoint in following this great tradition.
John Donatich, arrived in January 2003 to take even further the Press’s growth, expansion, and diversification, while guiding it into an era of new technological possibilities. He is an accomplished author in his own right. He never wavered in his support of the Yale Drama Series.
