John Guare

Competition Judge

2011 - New Light Shine
2012 - Beautiful Province

Tall handsome John sauntered into our lives as our third judge with a commanding presence and unerring enthusiasm for the challenge ahead: over 1000 manuscripts were received that year and the following. He never wavered in his ... "expectation to open up the box and find a new voice that he never heard before." Not only did he give us two exceptional winners, he brought us to Lincoln Center Theater for the 2012 and 2013 readings. His diverse talents continue to amaze.
